Homemade games that you created as kids are usually ones you continued to play throughout your childhood. These games are ones that we either created as kids, learned as kids with friends, learned when we were older, or even a couple of games that this group of twenty has created as teenagers.
The games that we have created has stemmed from our beliefs on important world issues through games like Politics Against Humanity, Baby Boom, or H2Operation. Each game has it's own world issue that we want to bring to light and make others aware of in their lives.

World Issues
Politics Against Humanity
Politics Against Humanity is a game we designed in our GAT group, based off of the well-known games Apples To Apples or Cards Against Humanity, in which there are black adjective cards and white noun cards, and the outcome of the game is to try to get as many black cards as possible. In our version of the game, the adjective cards are figures and topics regarding either American politics or international issues. Players match these cards with adjectives ironically, in hopes of being the funniest and winning the black cards. The purpose of our game is to draw attention to serious political or human rights issues by being satirical or politically incorrect, and thus starting a conversation about the issues.

Baby Boom
This is a more complex game, but one that's still fun. The purpose is to bring awareness about overpopulation via a whimsical role playing game. It takes place in the year 2060, where population has grown to 50 billion. People are living in poverty, there are food shortages, water shortages, deforestation, and the government is collapsing. The players come into the game as a common citizen but can acquire skills to advance their career as either a doctor, a scientist, a soldier, or a government official. There is an added twist of interstellar space travel, so you can either try to fix or destroy Earth or find a new planet to live on. There are many different ways to win the game, the doctor spending time trying to use biological diseases to either help or hurt their world, the scientist can travel to space, the government official works with the government collapse, et cetera.
